Blood count is up!

Dear Family and Friends,

My blood count is slightly up!  Great news!  The platelet count is now normal, and I am not that far from a normal blood level.  Well, this isn't really my blood yet.  This is the transfusion,  which I'm pretending is mine!

Changing of the Guard:  Bernie came and went. Now Mike has come.  Bernie wants me to eat more to regain some of the weight I have lost, and Mike wants me to begin moving around to regain some of the muscle that has atrophied.  Mike walked me down the stairs today after my treatment, and just walked me 2 times by the pool.
Mike leaves Monday, and George comes Wednesday.  Then George leaves the following Tuesday and Tanya comes down.

This is the best day I have had in awhile.  I had the CT scan this morning, and now Dr. Humiston can see what the changes have been to my cancer.

I may be here for a while more, but I'm dreaming of being home and seeing you all.

   Love,  Carol

  1. Mom, I love it when you update your blog! Thank you. And you will soon learn that your healing is much more than the blood transfusion. That's just the most convenient explanation.

    Love,
    Seth

  3. Hi Carol! You have been so much on my mind, and I am thankful to have found you once again updating your blog. You write so gently and bravely of your healing adventures; you are an inspiration. I can hear your voice and see your beautiful smile through your written words. Interesting root canal information; who woulda thunk? Glad you've taken care of that issue! I'm envisioning shrinking bad cells and growing good cells as you continue to heal. My thoughts and prayers continue for you. Love, Barbara

  4. Thank you for the update. We miss you and we look forward to seeing you very soon. Fiona is walking now and she has a mind of her own about where she wants to walk. I'm sure she'll want to show you her walking skills.
